ONE of the country’s mobile operators NetOne, has entered into a partnership with the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), which will see the mobile phone’s One Wallet subscribers able to purchase prepaid electricity. In a statement, NetOne said the integration was part of a deal between NetOne and the ZETDC to give customers efficient and convenient services.

“This integration with One Wallet will undoubtedly give customers the convenience to access prepaid electricity credit from anywhere, at anytime as Zesa prepaid distribution centres are few and far apart,” said NetOne.

The company said the One Wallet mobile money service has proven to be a reliable service and they were glad to be part of the integration with ZETDC.

“NetOne’s One Wallet mobile money service has proven its mettle as the most secure mobile money service in Zimbabwe as it has struck a deal with (ZETDC) to pay prepaid Zesa vouchers,” said NetOne.

NetOne said customers should follow certain steps to be able to access the Zesa prepaid payment facility.

One Wallet subscribers can access Zesa prepaid payment facility by sending the registered One Wallet number to 32020 together with the Zesa prepaid meter number.

The company said this was One Wallet’s first major integration with a billing third party since its re-launch in November last year.
