MTN Ghana launches Send Money Home promotion

The MTN Mobile Money Send Money Home promotion is aimed at creating a convenient platform for persons who need to send money to their families and friends here in Ghana. It also involves those who receive money from the United Kingdom during the festive season.

As part of the promotion,  MTN customers who send an amount of GHC100 and above from their wallets to other registered Mobile Money subscribers will receive GHC10 bonus airtime.  Also, customers who send GHC500 and above will enjoy bonus airtime of GHC 10 plus a voucher to shop at any Melcom shop in Ghana.   Customers who receive money from their family and friends in the United Kingdom through MTN Mobile Money will also enjoy a bonus airtime of GHC10.

Commenting on the package, the Commercial Senior Manager of MTN Mobile Money, Mr. Eli Hini, urged all Ghanaians to register and use MTN Mobile Money as their preferred mode of sending money to their families and friends.

He said, “MTN Mobile Money is the most convenient and secure way of sending money to your family, friends and business partners without the hassle of travelling long distances.  With Mobile Money, you are not just sending money, you are sending smiles to your loved ones,” he added.

Currently, over one million Ghanaians use MTN Mobile Money for different purposes. Customers can subscribe to the Mobile Money service by registering with a valid photo ID at any MTN service center, Mobile Money Merchant point and partner banks’ branches across the country.
