Hello Paisa clinches top African Fintech company spot at the Innotribe Start-up challenge


Low cost international money transfer company Hello Paisa was named the number one Fintech Company in Africa in Mauritius on Wednesday 18 May, during the SWIFT African Regional Conference which attracted up to 500 delegates from around the world.

Hello Paisa will now form part of a delegation along with two other finalists to Sibos — SWIFT’s annual global financial services conference in Geneva, Switzerland this year September. There the group will showcase how Hello Paisa performed and how they pioneered real financial inclusion   in the African  Fintech space.    

 Hello Group CEO, Nadir Khamissa says, “Through collaboration we are building a mobile-first digital financial services ecosystem in Africa. This allows people to leapfrog into the digital financial service space in the same manner that GSM allowed millions of Africans to leapfrog into the mobile telephony space 20 years ago.”

The Innotribe Start-Up Challenge Africa creates a platform for leading local and global organisations to support the evolving fintech space, and has been successful in showcasing innovative ideas across all spectrums.
