Doha Bank unveils Arabic mobile banking app
In a bid to further strengthen its digital engagement to enhance customer experience, Doha Bank recently unveiled its new Arabic mobile banking app and revamped its English-language app adding innovative features.
Launched on the occasion of Qatar National Day, paying homage to the nation, its people and values, the Arabic mobile banking application, which embodies the country’s colours and dynamic mood, boasts of a number of unique features to offer a “convenient and smooth” digital banking experience to the bank’s customers.
With the aim of increasing the convenience of its customers and making transactions safer and more secure, Doha Bank has enabled biometric authentication to login to the new app. Furthermore, iPhone X users can also sign in using facial recognition feature on their devices.
On top of viewing account balances and transaction history and setting up e-statement for accounts and cards, users can make utility bills and credit card payments, and apply for products and services such as loans, cards, and insurance products directly from the app.
In addition, the bank has integrated Western Union Money Transfer to the Arabic app to enable users to make local money transfers as well as remittances to more than 200 countries.
The app also will allow customers to temporarily block their debit cards in the event of suspected fraud or card loss.

Our emphasis on facilitating safe and secure banking for our customers inspired us to enable biometric authentication on the app, and by doing so, we became the first bank to launch the feature in Qatar. The bank also revamped its English-language mobile banking app giving it a fresh look and adding a bevy of enhancements. Both the Arabic and English apps boast new features that let users view their account balances on the login screen, and set up automatic utility bill payments.
“The new Arabic app features a smart layout that makes it easy to use, and its colourful and vibrant design embodies Qatar, its nation, and people perfectly. Moreover, thanks to its functionalities, customers can now avail our products and services on-the-go and fulfil all their banking needs at their fingertips,” Dr Seetharaman added.
