Airtel Money available at Ghana Post Offices nationwide

Airtel Money has expanded its footprint to include Ghana Post (GP) outlets nationwide where customers can access Airtel Money services such as receiving and transferring of funds, airtime top up and payment of bills promptly and securely. The expansion is aimed at ensuring availability of e-value and cash in order to promote customer satisfaction. 

Commenting on the collaboration,the Head of Corporate Communications and External Affairs of Airtel Ghana,Donald Gwira, explained that Ghana Post joins the list of Airtel Money agents across the country with the aim of further facilitating customers' access to e-value which can be used to top up airtime, pay for one's bills and also send pocket money and school fees with just a click from their mobile device.

He further said Airtel Ghana believes in partnerships as a means of providing superior service, and so have already established relationships with several institutions through which customer friendly and relevant products have been introduced. 

These include Databank, Ecobank, Energy Bank, Fidelity Bank, GT Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Unibank, United Bank of Africa and Zenith Bank, In addition to our mobile banking services; we have expanded our Cash-Out services, where customers can cash out at any Fidelity and Ecobank ATMs, Airtel shops, partner banks, and agent outlets across the country. 

"We also have more than two thousand (2000) Airtel Money dealers, ensuring the widest availability of Airtel Money throughout Ghana". He added

The Ag. Managing Director of Ghana Post, Samuel Adu-Boafoat the launch said the partnership marks the beginning of business collaboration between Ghana Post and Airtel Ghana which is geared towards making the two companies grow in portfolio of business and revenue.

He noted that in recent years, governments have made it a priority to develop effective tools to financially include their populations who are unbanked and underserved. 

Mr. Adu-Boafoemphasized that this collaboration adds to the growing portfolio of mobile products GP currently provides as part of its diversification drive. The Airtel Mobile money service is currently provided in 150 locations out of a post office network of over 350locations. It is our hope that this collaboration will be taken a step further through the integration of our IT systems. This we believe will enable customers to pay for products at various shops (including delivery charges) using Airtel Money and the platform will alert Ghana Post to pick up items at the shop and deliver at the door step of the customer.
