SOUTH AFRICA:Edcon launches money transfer service MoovaMoney

Retail giant Edcon, in partnership with the South African Bank of Athens and Blue Label Telecoms has launched its first money transfer service, MoovaMoney.

Customers are able to deposit, send and withdraw cash instantly using mobile phones nationwide from the beginning of October 2016.

MoovaMoney is available through Edcon’s chain stores Edgars, Edgars Connect, Jet/Jet Mart and CNA.

To register on the platform, customers can simply dial *120*334# from their mobile phones. Once registered they will be able to purchase airtime, data, electricity and other value added services.

Customers will also be able to use the service to deposit and withdraw money at participating Edcon stores, send money instantly to any South African mobile number and purchase merchandise from a myriad of brand stores such as Edgars, Edgars Connect, Jet/Jet Mart, CNA, Boardmans, Red Square and Legit stores using MoovaMoney.
