MTN Ghana offers instant international money transfers via Skrill

MTN Ghana is offering instant international money transfers from Skrill, a digital wallet service from Paysafe, accounts in over 200 countries to its Mobile Money customers in Ghana.

In a statement issued by MTN, the service which went live in March 2016, makes it easy for Skrill customers to move money directly into MTN Mobile Money accounts in any currency via the Skrill International Transfer (Skrill IT) service. Customers can then cash out funds at any time at an MTN Mobile Money agent in Ghana.

Per the service, consumers in Ghana can now also add the MTN Mobile Money account details to their Skrill profile to access funds from their Skrill wallet.

As part of the launch, Skrill and MTN Ghana are running a promotion to offer free transfers into MTN Mobile Money accounts. Skrill has waived the 1% SEND MONEY fee for sending money to MTN Mobile Money accounts in Ghana for the month of April 2016.
