GHANA:UniBank introduces “SMILE Mobile Banking”


SMILE Mobile Banking” is a new and innovative product UniBank (Ghana) Limited has introduced to make banking more accessible to Ghanaians.

It is an electronic banking service designed to bring basic banking access and functionality to customers and non – customers on any mobile phone. It works without internet access or mobile airtime and could be used on any mobile phone, whether it is a smart phone or not.
 
Nana Akua Boatemaa Nkansah, the southern sector head of client relationship, manager of Business Development in Eastern Banking, made these statement in an interview with News Ghana during the awards event for retired nurses of the Korle – Bu Teaching Hospital.
 
 
The service is user-friendly, extremely convenient and offers services such as checking of account balance and viewing a mini statement of the last five transactions, she said.
 
There are lots of offers which includes the transfer of funds from a UniBank account to any mobile money wallet without a mobile money agent and vice versa, pay for merchant services like utility bills, buy airtime, pay school fees and airline or bus tickets and to name a few.
 

 

SMILE is the latest on a list of innovative alternative banking channels introduced by UniBank Ghana to provide customers and the general public a hassle-free banking with the highest level of security.
