GHANA:Tigo Cash introduces ‘self-help PIN reset’ service

As part of activities to celebrate its Mobile Money Month, Tigo Ghana has introduced another industry first, a self-help Personal Identification Number (PIN) reset service.

With this innovative service, registered customers on the mobile wallet can change their unique PINs anytime and anywhere without contacting the company’s call centre. To access this free service, customers can dial *501*9# from their mobile phones and follow the procedure.

Announcing the service, the Director of Mobile at Tigo Ghana, Tara Squire, said: “We are taking convenience and superior experience to the next level, and we are delighted to introduce this new feature. With each service improvement, we are giving our customers more freedom and control.”

He explained that the introduction of the service is consistent with the company’s strategic focus to make Tigo Cash services easily accessible to customers. “We will continue to leverage on our huge investment in technology to meet the needs of our customers”, he said.

Tigo Cash has over 12,000 agents across the country and the number is expected to grow as a result of product enhancements, affordability and convenience to customers.

The service not only allows customers to receive and withdraw cash, but also provides e-commerce solutions including online purchases, payments for DStv/GOtv and many more.
